

NITIC Wraps Up a Successful Summer 2025 Working Connections Series
The center has concluded its Summer 2025 Working Connections professional development series, marking another impactful season of collaboration, innovation, and growth for IT faculty across the country.
Spanning three sessions in Ohio, Texas, and online, this season’s program brought together 182 participants, including 35 new attendees, to explore emerging technologies and strengthen their teaching practices.
Ohio | May 19–23
Hosted at Columbus State Community College, the first session welcomed 34 participants, with 32% attending for the first time. Faculty engaged in hands-on training across three tracks:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Proxmox
- Secure Programming
Texas | July 14–18
The second session, held in Texas, drew 52 participants, including 11 newcomers. The curriculum focused on foundational and emerging IT topics:
- Intro to Data Science
- Intro to Containers
- IoT Development
Online | July 28–August 1
The final session transitioned to a virtual format, attracting 96 participants from across the country, 13 of them attending for the first time. Five diverse tracks offered specialized content:
- Advanced Data Analytics
- AI Essentials
- Automation Using PowerShell and Bash
- Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure
- UX for IT Faculty
The Summer 2025 Working Connections series reinforced NITIC’s commitment to empowering educators with the tools and knowledge needed to prepare students for the evolving tech landscape. The summer events also featured the successful implementation of our new platform, Engagez. The platform featured course resources, agendas and class video links, and collaborative group chats and discussion boards. We are looking forward to Fall 2025 Working Connections to begin in September!
