Faculty AI Job Shadowing

Provide faculty with direct exposure to AI tools, workflows, and decision-making processes in industry.
Foster curriculum innovation aligned with current and emerging AI practices.
Strengthen relationships between academic institutions and industry partners.
Promote faculty professional development through experiential learning.

Timeline

Eligibility

IT Innovation Network member.
Currently teaching IT credit courses full-time at regionally accredited U.S. two-year colleges.
Institutional approval required.

Program Structure

Duration: 80 hours between May 1–Aug 31, 2026 (flexible scheduling).
Format: On-site preferred; remote allowed if company permits.
Activities May Include: Company tours, team meetings, shadowing AI professionals, small projects, and curriculum alignment discussions.
Selection: Cohort of 10 faculty. Applications based on strength of outreach plan and learning goals.
Final Report: Submit report and timesheet by September 30; share experience in a NITIC webinar.
