NITIC Expands Working Connections to Ohio for the First Time
NITIC is excited to announce that Working Connections is coming to Ohio for the first time since the program began in 2002. Originally hosted at community colleges in states like Texas, Florida, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Working Connections has grown—evolving from an annual event into quarterly workshops thanks to NSF’s continued support and expansion under the NITIC grant.
From May 19-23, IT faculty from two-year institutions across the country will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on professional development at Columbus State’s Workforce Development Building. This in-person event will feature three specialized tracks:
- Secure Programming with Python
- AWS Cloud Practitioner
- Proxmox VE Workshop Using NDG NETLAB
About Working Connections
Working Connections provides high-quality, cost-free professional development for IT faculty at two-year institutions. NITIC hosts these workshops four times a year, both virtually and in person. Since its inception, the program has offered 24 unique tracks and has served over 400 faculty members.
Additional Summer 2025 Opportunities
In addition to the Ohio event, faculty can participate in other Working Connections sessions this summer:
