Essential Workforce Resources and Tools for IT Educators

A presentation by NITIC leadership at the 2025 League for Innovations Conference

The National IT Innovation Center (NITIC), funded by a National Science Foundation grant, showcased and demonstrated four new initiatives designed to embrace IT innovation and support IT educators. A free online clearinghouse will offer downloadable classroom modules and tools. Employer-prioritized workforce trends and job skills, frequently updated, help educators keep curriculum aligned with industry needs. A series of cutting-edge faculty professional development workshops get the latest IT skills into classrooms across the country. Finally, a unique educator community of practice, which is free to join, regularly convenes IT educators nationwide to collectively problem solve and share best practices.
